Dr. Phillips is a native of north Mississippi and received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Millsaps College where he was also a four-year varsity letterman in football. Dr. Phillips received his Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry. He is an active member of the Metro Jackson Lions Club. He is a member of the American Optometric Association as well as the Mississippi Optometric Association, where he is currently serving on the Board of Directors. He attends Meadowbrook Church of Christ. Dr. Phillips and his wife, Cassie, have four children, Virginia, Max, Eliza, and Rachel. His hobbies include fishing, hunting, coaching and attending sporting events. His occupational interests include contact lenses, treating ocular diseases and post-operative care.

Dr. Bearden is a native of Tupelo, MS. He received a B.S in Biology from Mississippi State University in 2004. In 2010 he received his Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry. He completed externships at the Memphis VA Hospital and Memphis Family Vision. Dr. Bearden received honors including Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities, the Feinbloom Low Vision Award and a four-year clinical excellence while at SCO. Dr. Bearden and his wife, Rachael, have 2 little boys, Hunter and Max. He is a member of Madison United Methodist Church, Canton Lions Club, Mississippi Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, Mississippi Skeet Shooting Association, and Madison County Ducks Unlimited Committee. Dr. Bearden also serves as an Extern Director for the Southern College of Optometry and teaches 4th-year students in the clinic.

Dr. Rasmussen was born and raised in Covington, TN. After finishing her undergraduate studies at Christian Brothers University in Memphis, TN, she went on to receive her Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in 2010. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, Mississippi Optometric Association, Infant See, and Yazoo City Lions Club. Dr. Rasmussen and her husband, Paul, have two sons, Kaleb and Peyton. She attends Broadmoor Baptist Church in Madison. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading a good book, and watching college football. Dr. Rasmussen and her family are supporters of Mississippi College where her husband coaches football, but she still loves the Tennessee Vols!! Go Big Orange!

Dr. Edwards was born and raised in the Jackson Metropolitan area. She attended Millsaps College where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She then went on to receive her Doctorate of Optometry degree at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN.
Dr. Edwards is a member of the Mississippi Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, and Rankin Rotary Club. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Dr. Edwards, her husband, Adam, and their son, Jason, reside in Flowood, MS.

Dr. Julie Dawson is a native of Milan, Tennessee. She graduated from Mississippi State University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences. She received her Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in 2014. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, Mississippi Optometric Association, and the InfantSee program. She attends Fondren Church and enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with friends and family. Dr. Dawson is married to Dr. Bran Dawson and they reside in Madison, MS.

Dr. Massey is a native of Kosciusko, Mississippi and a member of the American Optometric Association and Mississippi Optometric Association.
Since 2012, Dr. Massey has been treating patients in central Mississippi. He specializes in ocular diseases and has a specific interest in diagnosing and treating glaucoma and diabetic eye disease, as well as specialty contact lenses.
Dr. Massey is now seeing patients in our Madison, Canton, Ridgeland, and Brandon locations!
